ABOUT RUTH AND TUTI THE WRITING TAPIR
Ruth Palamountain is a veterinarian who loves drawing animals.
She created Tuti the Writing Tapir because she thought she would be a fun character to work with, but also to alert people to the plight of tapirs, an endangered species who could become extinct if their home is not protected.
